Traverse City Area Public Schools is very proud to announce four current TCAPS staff members and three retired TCAPS Teachers have been selected to feature their artwork in the exhibit, The Northwest Regional: A Juried Exhibition of Michigan Fine Art. The Exhibit will be featured at the Dennos Museum Center, 1701 E. Front Street, now through Sunday, April 1st.
Current TCAPS staff members, Julie Keck, Amy Harper, Janelle Dahlberg, and Adam VanHouten, as well as retired TCAPS Art Teachers, Cherie Correll, Nancy Crisp, and Dan Lisuk, each have artwork on display at the Exhibit. There were 457 pieces submitted by artists from the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Michigan. Juror, Susan Bandes selected 109 of those works to be featured. Susan Bandes, Ph.D., is a Professor of Art History at Michigan State University, and served as Director of Kresge Art Museum from 1986 through 2010. TCAPS is very proud of the hard work and dedication required of the artists, to be a part of this Exhibit, and would like to thank them for sharing their talents with TCAPS students across the district.
