Traverse City West Senior High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Ross Deye as the new head boys’ cross-country coach. Ross will fill the opening left by longtime Coach Dan Zemper. Ross has coached boys’ and girls’ cross-country for the past twenty-seven years, twenty-four of those years in the Sylvania City Schools in Ohio. Four state titles, thirty-two league titles, twenty-one district titles, and thirteen regional titles were won between the boys’ and girls’ teams during his tenure. Ross was named State Coach of the Year in boys’ cross- country in 1994 and nominated as the 2010 Career Coach of the Year by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross-Country Coaches.
“TC West Senior High School is very grateful to have found a coach with such extensive and successful cross-country experience. Ross brings a wealth of knowledge and love of cross-country to the Titan program,” commented TC West Senior High School Athletic Director Patti Tibaldi. “He is a proven winner and has great passion for coaching. We welcome him to the Titan family.”
