On Wednesday, April 28th, the Willow Hill Elementary School Preschool class will take part in a Trike-a-Thon to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital from 8:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Preschoolers will receive pledges based on the number of laps they complete on their tricycles.
Willow Hill Elementary School students will also receive a visit from Traverse City Minor League Baseball Team Beach Bums mascot Suntan on Wednesday, April 28th. Suntan will visit classrooms from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. to present awards to students who participated in the Beach Bums reading program. Students were given a poster of a baseball field and earned a baseball base for every book they read throughout the school year.
Both events will take place on Wednesday, April 28th, at Willow Hill Elementary School, 1250 Hill Street. Media interested in capturing these great events are asked to check in at the Willow Hill Elementary School Main Office on their arrival.
