TCAPS’ Way to Grow Program to Take Part in 16th Annual Celebration for Young Children on 4/24/10

On Saturday, April 24th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Traverse City Area Public Schools’ Way to Grow program will take part in the 16th Annual Celebration for Young Children event. TCAPS’ Way to Grow booth will offer hands-on activities for children during the event and will be located in the City Opera House, 106 East Front Street.

 

The Way to Grow program is a collaboration of area schools and agencies under the auspices of the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District (TBAISD) designed to engage all families with children aged birth to five years in enriching the preschool years and promoting school readiness. Through home visits, playgroups, parent meetings, and a variety of communications, School Readiness Coordinators can provide a wealth of practical information, and open the doors to learning about the whole spectrum of resources available through the schools and communities to assist parents to be their child’s best teacher.
