Traverse City Central High School and Traverse City East Junior High School Orchestra students will be performing in concert on February 15, 2007 at Lars Hockstad Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The evening will feature 8^th – 12^th grade string and full orchestra ensembles from the two schools.

The concert is a prelude to the district festivals that are held the last weekend of February and the first weekend of March in Elk Rapids. The TC Central High School Full Orchestra will be performing Sibelius’ “Finlandia” and Brahms “Hungarian Dance #5” along with a “Colloquy for Strings” by American composer Abbe Gesbon. The TC East Junior High School Symphonic Orchestra will be playing a suite by Richard Meyer and Mozart’s “Symphony No. 10 in G Major.”
