Traverse City High School students can enjoy a beautiful new school entryway thanks to the hard work and caring efforts of Sheryl Chandler, former Traverse City High School Custodian. Although Sheryl is now a custodian at Central Grade School, she really wanted to give the students at her former school something nice to brighten each day. With the help of local donations, Sheryl set to work to create a bright and inviting new entryway to Traverse City High School. All of her efforts were done on her own time after school hours.
The new entry has a fresh coat of paint and a mural of the school mascot, as well as a planted area with trees, plants and inspirational stones. The entryway also has couches for students to use and enjoy the setting.
Traverse City High School would like to thank Sheryl for her special gift as well as the following donors who made this project possible:
