In celebration of March is Reading Month, Willow Hill Elementary School students have been keeping track of home reading during the month of March. For motivation, students were asked to share facts, songs, and skits about insects. Every morning the school halls were infested with a garden full of bugs while students shared their bugs and insects.
In celebration of their success, Willow Hill Elementary School students gathered in the school gymnasium to dance the “Buggy Buggy,” a unique version of the Hokey Pokey. As a school, a total of 130,293 minutes were read overall as a result, almost 80% of the student body participated in the reading program.
