Parents of next year’s 9th grade students are invited to attend the 8th into 9th Grade Parent Orientation Night on Thursday, February 8th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Traverse City East Junior High School Performance Hall. Staff will present information to help familiarize parents with the transition into ninth grade. Information regarding the upcoming scheduling process including information on required courses, elective courses, the enrollment process, and information about the ninth grade year of high school will be discussed during the meeting.
Following the presentation representatives from the ninth grade staff will be available to answer any questions about the ninth grade year. Next year’s 9th Grade office staff is:
Principal - Steve Urbanski
Counselor - Marci Perthes
Full-time Secretary - Cathy Bolter
Part-time Secretary - Keri McCumber
