On Monday, February 22nd, Traverse City Central High School Student Senate, in partnership with Safe Kids North Shore and the Michigan State Police, will host the Distractive Driving Program. The Distractive Driving Program is an educational, simulated driving experience designed to inform young drivers that text messaging, mobile phones, and other hand-held electronic devices distract drivers and cause deadly accidents. While using a driving simulator, students will be able to experience an array of traffic situations including:
- Crash Avoidance
- Distracted Driving
- Multiple Distractions
- Roadway populated with poor drivers
This event will take place in the TC Central High School Library, 1150 Millikan Drive, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Traverse City Area Public Schools and the TC Central High School Student Senate would like to extend special thanks to AAA of Michigan for providing the driving simulator that will be used for this event.
