Traverse City West Middle School’s Sixth Grade Creative Living Class has created heart-shaped pillows to be used in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Munson Medical Center. The students have spent the past two weeks creating the pillows and learning the important life skill of basic stitching while also engaging in a service-learning project. The students are developing a deep understanding of helping others in the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Two Resource Clinician Nurses from Munson Medical Center Cardiac Unit will collect the heart shaped pillows on Wednesday, January 27th, from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. The pillows will then be delivered to patients in the Cardiac Unit at Munson Medical Center.
