Westwoods Elementary School’s First Annual Rake-A-Thon held during the months of October and November 2009 has been featured in the Parent Teacher Organization Magazine PTO Today. The Rake-A-Thon is recognized for recruiting volunteers from churches, athletic teams, and other community groups to work together to gather up fall leaves on the lawns of homes and businesses.
“I thank Adam and Lisa Warren and all the parents and students who volunteered to make the Rake-A-Thon a success,” said Westwoods Elementary School Principal Sander Scott. “This is just another example of the great parent involvement we're blessed with at Westwoods."
