Area students who are home-schooled and in the eleventh grade, graduating in 2011, and those who are graduating in 2010 but have never taken the Michigan Merit Examination (MME), are eligible to participate in the MME at their local public high school on March 9th, 10th, and 11th at no charge. The MME consists of three major components: the ACT college entrance examination; the Work Keys job skills assessments in reading, mathematics, and locating information; and Michigan assessments in mathematics, science, and social studies. The ACT Plus Writing exam is given as part of the MME with college reportable results.
