On Monday, January 4th, Traverse Heights Elementary School, in conjunction with the Michigan Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MiBlSi), will launch a positive behavior support initiative. Traverse Heights Elementary School was awarded a MiBlSi grant from the Michigan Department of Education to design and develop school wide systems for learning and behavior supports. A kick-off assembly to introduce students to behavior expectations and positive support will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the school gymnasium, 933 Rose Street.
Traverse Heights Elementary School has adopted a new school slogan in support of the MiBlSi Grant: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible on a Road to Success.
Community and business partners have been essential to the successful launch of this exciting systems implementation. Traverse Heights Elementary School would like to thank the following business and community partners for their help and dedication: Britten Banners and Event Solutions of Traverse City, Chaser Apparel of Grand Rapids, United States Coast Guard Air Station, Traverse City, and Traverse Bay Area Independent School District.
