Beginning now until Tuesday, December 22nd, Eastern Elementary School will hold a food drive for the Jubilee House located on Washington Street in Traverse City. The Jubilee House is a local facility that opens its doors to the homeless from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Jubilee House provides shower and laundry facilities as well as computers for use as needed. The Jubilee House is accepting donations to help stock the food pantry. Items needed include:
- Canned goods
- Perishables
- Baby food
- Personal items
- Paper products
Donations may be delivered to the front office at Eastern Elementary School, 1600 Eastern Avenue. Please contact Michele Whitelock at (231) 933-1660 for more information.
