Traverse City Central High School and Traverse City West Senior High School will host Freshmen Orientation for the 2009-2010 school year for all incoming ninth grade students and their parent(s)/guardian(s). Students will meet their individual peer mentor whom they will be working with during the school year, participate in activities that encourage early connection to other students, and complete their registration as part of the orientation process. Informational sessions will be offered for parents. The purpose of Freshmen Orientation is for students and parents to leave feeling comfortable and ready to start the 2009-2010 school year.
Orientation dates and times are as follows:
TC Central High School
- Tuesday, August 25, 2009 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Auditorium
TC West Senior High School
- Tuesday, September 1, 2009 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Commons Area
All incoming freshmen should plan to attend orientation and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please call TC Central High School at 933-3500 or TC West Senior High School at 933-7500 for more information.
