On Monday, June 15th, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Traverse City Area Public Schools will host four Summer Adventure Day Camp Open Houses. Area-wide families are invited to take part in this event to learn more about TCAPS’ Summer Adventure Day Camp, meet the camp staff, tour the building, and receive information on planned field trips and activities. Registration will be accepted during the Open Houses. Open Houses will take place at each Summer Adventure Day Camp location:
- Cherry Knoll Elementary School, (housed at TC East Middle School) 1776 Three Mile Road
- Traverse Heights Elementary School, 933 Rose Street
- Westwoods Elementary School, 1500 Fisher Road
- Willow Hill Elementary School, 1250 Hill Street
Camps will run Monday through Friday beginning June 16th through September 4th. TCAPS’ Summer Adventure Day Camps are available to children ages 5 – 12 at all four camp locations. Westwoods and Willow Hill Elementary Schools will also be open to 3 and 4-year old children. Daily options are offered for parents with busy summer schedules. Financial assistance may be available through the Department of Human Services (DHS) for qualifying families.
TCAPS’ Summer Adventure Camps are licensed by the State of Michigan to assure safety, health, and quality measures are met. Staff members are certified in CPR/First Aid and have met training and regulation standards. All Summer Adventure Day Camp staff has education and/or experience working with children and have cleared State and Federal background checks.
