Traverse City West Senior High School Senior Kimberly Kelderhouse is one of four 2009 Michigan Odyssey Scholarship recipients. The Michigan Odyssey Scholarship is presented by Creativity Unlimited, sponsor of the Odyssey of the Mind Program in Michigan.
Kimberly has competed on the Odyssey of the Mind teams for nine years, beginning in the fourth grade. Kimberly plans to attend either Alma or Aquinas College in the fall to study Entrepreneurial Business and competing on a Division IV Odyssey of the Mind team.
“A ‘real’ team is a group of friends that support each other through thick and thin,” says Kimberly Kelderhouse. She adds, “Odyssey taught me that family is not just people you share blood with. They are the people you laugh with, the people you share your secrets with, and the people who become more than just people.”
