On Saturday, May 30th, Traverse City Central High School will host a spaghetti dinner, silent auction, and bake sale to raise funds for Cree McPherson. Cree is a student at TC Central High School and has been diagnosed with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM occurs most commonly at the septum, just below the aortic valve. The septum is the muscular wall that separates the left and right side the heart. This means that her heart is enlarged and working harder than it should. Cree will need to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Maine in June for surgery. Fundraising events are being organized to help the family with travel and medical expenses.
Events will take place at the King’s Court Clubhouse, on La Franier Road and will be held from 1 :00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. TC Central High School families and community members are invited to take part in this fundraising event to help the McPherson family.
