Traverse City Central High School and Traverse City West Senior High School Debate Teams performed well during the five-week Northern Michigan Debate League (NMDL) tournament season.  The following students received awards after the last debate competition on November 15^th:

During the season, both schools debated against teams from Elk Rapids, Gaylord, Petoskey, McBain, Manton, East Jordan, and St. Francis. This year’s national debate topic was: “Resolved: That the United States federal government should establish a policy substantially increasing the number of persons serving in one or more of the following national service programs: Americorps, Citizen Corps, Senior Corps, Peace Corps, Learn and Serve America, Armed Forces.”
