On Friday, June 6, 2008 Traverse City Central High School will hold its Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in the school cafeteria and atrium with a pre-ceremony reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The “Hall of Fame Class of 2008” inductees are Ross Biederman, John Lober, and Al Lockman.
The purpose of the TC Central Hall of Fame is to honor past graduates and staff who have excelled in their fields, given back to the community, and possess outstanding integrity. There is an emphasis on developing Traverse City heritage, instilling pride in TC Central and the community, and in providing strong role models for students to emulate.
“Hall of Fame Class of 2007” inductees included Traverse City Central High School Boys and Girls Tennis Coach Larry Nykerk, Circuit Court Judge Thomas Power, Oleson Foundation Founder Gerald Oleson, and Jim and Ida Tompkins. Former inductees include former Gov. William Milliken, Dr. Terrie Taylor, former basketball pro Tom Kozelko, TC Central High School football coach Jim Ooley, Dr. Tom Hall, former TC Central Golf Coach Bob Lober, Harold “Hank” Johnson, Ken Bell, Mel Gee, Mel Larimer, Dr. Bill Smith, Dr. Charles Kelly, former Phoenix Suns player Dan Majerle, John Sonneman, and former Buffalo Bills player Mark Brammer.
