Michigan Pupil Accounting and Attendance Association (MPAAA) recognized Patricia LaBelle of the Grand Traverse County Truancy Intervention Program with an Outstanding Service Award at their annual meeting held Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Grand Traverse Resort.
In recognizing Ms. LaBelle, MPAAA commended her dedication and diligent leadership in spearheading the Truancy Department in Grand Traverse County. She has engaged school districts in the county, public and non-public, to work collectively, encouraging students to attend class. Patricia has presented the Grand Traverse Truancy Program at the MPAAA conference for a number of years and has served as a model program in providing support for the development of programs elsewhere in Michigan.
