Seventh grade students Hart Cauchy and Jessica Reehorst from Traverse City East Junior High School have been recognized in the May 12, 2008 edition of Junior Scholastic magazine as two of the 25 runners-up in the “Find Mapman” contest.

Approximately 6,000 students nationwide entered this year’s contest that challenged students to read clues and answer eight questions to determine where the Mapman was and for the students to create a map of the Mapman’s final destination, Mekong Delta of Vietnam. The 25 runners-up will receive an electronic sudoku puzzle and a Mapman t-shirt.
