On Wednesday, April 16th, Traverse Heights Elementary School is hosting a community celebration of Chinese culture. The evening will feature tradition Chinese food for everyone to enjoy, an educational presentation, and music. Participants will have the opportunity to practice using chopsticks and make authentic items from China. The celebration will take place in the Traverse Heights Elementary School cafeteria from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
Traverse Heights Elementary School has been celebrating the cultures represented within its schools community for four years. “Our school community represents many cultures and we want to embrace and celebrate our similarities as well as our differences,” says Traverse Heights Elementary School’s Family Partnership Team Coordinator, Brandi Carmen.
