On March 27, 2008 Bertha Vos Elementary School students will hear Kevin Kammaraad, talented author-illustrator of the children’s books The Tomato Collection, explain the creative process he goes through when developing a story or poem, while also giving an enthusiastic performance. “My hope, with visiting schools, is to get kids to be excited about being creative,” Kevin says. The presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m. for grades K – 3 and 10:35 a.m. for grades 4 – 6, in the Bertha Vos Elementary School Library.
