On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, Long Lake Elementary School is hosting “Step It Up With Math Night” in the Long Lake Elementary School gymnasium from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The “Step It Up With Math Night” gives students a chance to show their families the fun side of math and what they have been working on during the school year. Activities include math games, working with software, looking at student work in kindergarten through sixth grade. Parents will have the opportunity to experience different grade level activities with their children. The gymnasium will be decorated with a math theme and quotes from students. The new Investigations Curriculum will be available and parent support materials will be on display. Teachers will be available to explain parts of the curriculum, use of literature, and answer any questions. Pizza will be provided.
