The Traverse Junior Nordic Ski Club invites 6^th, 7th, 8^th, and 9^th graders from all schools and home schools to join in a fun filled winter of cross-country skiing.  Instructors will teach both the skating and classic techniques.  Skiers may focus on either or both techniques.  The main goal is to have fun while gaining skills in an excellent life-long sport.

Sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Timber Ridge Resort and will run from January 3^rd to February 28^th.  Optional weekend outings will be scheduled occasionally throughout the winter.  The cost for the season is $55.00, which includes a season trail pass at Timber Ridge Resort and a year-end pizza party.

An orientation meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4^th at Timber Ridge.  Registration forms are available at Brick Wheels and the athletic offices of Traverse City East and Traverse City West Junior High Schools.  All skiers participating in this program must have a valid sports physical on file at their school’s athletic office or at Timber Ridge Resort to participate.
