The League of Women Voters will sponsor a forum that will feature candidates running for the Traverse City Area Public Schools Board of Education on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the TCAPS Curriculum I Room, second floor in the Tompkins Boardman Administration Center at 412 Webster Street. Seven candidates are seeking election to two trustee seats on the TCAPS Board of Education.

 

Traverse City Area Public Schools’ TV/98 educational cable station will broadcast the League of Women Voter’s forum program in its entirety “live” on October 23rd beginning at 7:00 p.m. Additionally, the forum will be rebroadcast on TV/98 on the following dates and times:

 

·        Friday, October 26th                         7:00 p.m.

·        Saturday, October 27th                     7:00 p.m.

·        Sunday, October 28th                        7:00 p.m.

·        Tuesday, October 30th                      7:00 p.m.

·        Wednesday, October 31st                 7:00 p.m.

·        Thursday, November 1st                    7:00 p.m.

·        Friday, November 2nd                       7:00 p.m.

 

The community is invited to attend the forum and/or is encouraged to tune in to TCAPS TV/98 to learn more about the candidates. The election date is November 6, 2007. Special Note: All voters will be required to show a valid photo id prior to voting.
