On Sunday, July 29, 2007, Traverse City Central High School softball and baseball teams will host their third annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society softball game and homerun derby beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Thirlby Softball Field.

This event will raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of fallen teammate, Erika Bolton. Erika passed away nearly four years ago of leukemia at the age of 22. She played softball for Traverse City Central High School in 1997, 1998, and 1999.

Admission to the game is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family; entry for the homerun derby is $5.00 per person. Lunch will be available for a nominal fee. Prizes, such as Beach Bums tickets, all-season sports passes to TC Central High School or TC West Senior High School sports, and t-shirts will be given away during the game.
