Public input in being sought by Traverse City Central High School administrators in evaluating several options for programming and campus security as the school prepares for the  transition of ninth graders moving to the high school. A community meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the TC Central High School Cafeteria.

As part of TCAPS’ Long Range Master Plan, Traverse City Area Public Schools’ high schools will transition from a 10-12 to a  9-12 grade configuration as early as the fall of 2008 but no later than the fall of 2009. As a result of the grade reconfiguration, an east-west district boundary change will be implemented in the fall of 2007 to balance secondary student enrollments on both sides of town.

Please contact Traverse City Central High School Principal Jim Leyndyke at 933-3502 for more information. For more information on TCAPS’ Long Range Master Plan, please visit the TCAPS Web site at www.tcaps.net or call TCAPS’ Assistant Superintendent, Dr. David Dean at 933-1759.
