Five students from Traverse City Area Public Schools, Ian Cummings, Patrick Schuster, Taylor Weckstein, Spencer Thompson, and Evan Perry, have been selected to receive a Northwestern Michigan College/TBAISD Grand Traverse Regional Math, Science, and Technology Center Outstanding Student Award for 2006-2007.

Students will receive their awards during Recognition Night on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in the NMC Health/Science Building. A dessert and open house will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Festivities for the evening include displays of student research projects for the Math, Engineering, and Science Symposium, tours of the science classrooms, a demonstration of the Manufacturing Technology Academy’s trebuchet at 6:15 p.m. and the awards ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m. Parking will be available in the NMC Cedar Lot.
