Three elementary schools from Traverse City Area Public School District will have the opportunity to participate in diversity workshops presented by The Jeff Haas Quintet, featuring saxophone master, George Benson.

The Jeff Haas Quintet regularly conducts performance workshops in K-12 public schools as a way to promote peace through the universal language of music. The group uses Jeff’s original music to open up a discussion about diversity and to build understanding among people from different cultures and backgrounds.

The diversity workshops scheduled for TCAPS are as follows:

            May 17, 2007                      Willow Hill Elementary School              1:15 p.m. and 2:25 p.m.

            May 18, 2007                      Eastern Elementary School                    9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

            May 18, 2007                      Central Grade School                           12:45 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
