Eastern Elementary School will celebrate Mexican culture and the Spanish language with a Cinco de Mayo Mexican Fiesta on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The event features Mexican food, a simulated Mexican marketplace with authentic handicrafts for sale, free games, and a children’s craft. Students from each grade level, K– 6, will perform five-minute Spanish language performances, with a special kick off by Traverse City West Senior High School’s Latino Dance group.  Over 150 students will participate in the evening event.
