Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders from TCAPS’ Montessori program will present The Music Man Junior on Monday, May 7, 2007 as part of a fundraiser to enhance Spanish studies. The presentation will be at Lars Hockstad Auditorium, Central Grade School, 301 W. Seventh Street, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the Montessori office or at the door. Tickets are $5.00 for adults, children 12 and under are free.

Proceeds from the show will help send 4^th – 6^th grade Montessori students on a field trip to Chicago on May 14 –15, 2007. The focus of the trip is a continuation of the students’ Spanish studies with planned visits to the National Museum of Mexican Arts, Little Mexico, as well as a walking tour of the Murals in Pilsen Village.

The Music Man Junior is a part of the Broadway Junior Collection TM.  Music and lyrics are by Meredith Willson.  The book is written by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey.
