Traverse City West Senior High School Senior Erica Olson will sign an academic/athletic letter with NAIA Division II 2007 National Basketball Champion Indiana Wesleyan on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at TC West Senior High School at 2:30 p.m.  

Erica is a four-year varsity basketball letter winner for the Titans and holds a 3.7 grade point average.  She played on an undefeated regular season team her freshmen year, won three league titles and three district championships and averaged 8.5 points per game and three (3) assists per game her senior year.  The Titans were 70-24 during Erica’s career.

Erica was named to the first team All Big North her senior year and was a finalist for the prestigious MHSAA’s Scholar-Athlete Award.  Erica was chosen as a finalist from a pool of over 2,000 applicants.  The Scholar-Athlete Award recognizes the student who is academically outstanding and also represents the best of high school athletics in character and volunteerism. 

“We wish Erica all the best in her future endeavors,” Coach Patti Tibaldi states.  “Indiana Wesleyan is a perfect fit for Erica academically, athletically, and in their Christian philosophy.  Erica will represent their institution, as she always did for West, with character and class.”
