Silver Lake Elementary School will kick off a month of reading activities by hosting a visit from Beach Bums mascot, Suntan, on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. in the gymnasium. The students are participating in Suntan’s Reading Around the Bases program this year.  The Beach Bums are sending Suntan to the school to motivate students and cheer them on as they read all month long. Suntan and his friends will share books they love and will lead the students in learning two dances that are performed at the baseball games.
