On Saturday, October 28, 2006 Bertha Vos Elementary School will host their first inaugural Costume Classic 5K Run/Walk and Child’s Mile. A one-mile children’s run will begin at 8:15 a.m., followed by a 5K run/walk at 9:00 a.m.  In the spirit of Halloween fun, costumes may be worn, but are not required. 

Registration forms are available at Bertha Vos Elementary School, 3723 Shore Road, Williamsburg. Registration will also be accepted on the day of the race beginning at 7:30 a.m. Entry fees, if registered by October 14^th, are $10.00 for the Child’s Mile (children 12 and under) and $20.00 for the 5K run/walk (all ages). Entry fees after October 14^th are  $15.00 for the Child’s Mile and $25.00 for the 5K. Discounts are available for families of three or more. The first 125 5K run/walk registrants will receive an event t-shirt. All children, ages 12 and under, registered by October 14^th will receive a medal. “Trick-or-treats” will be given to all participants.
