Beginning Thursday, November 12th, through Sunday, November 22nd, Traverse City Central High School will perform its 2009 fall musical, Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance. Performances will take place at TC Central High School Auditorium, 1150 Milliken Drive, and will alternate between two casts Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Sunday performances begin at 3:00 p.m.
Pirates of Penzance brings to life the most lovable swashbuckling, free spirited, crazy troop of pirates that you have ever seen. The musical includes a rollicking band of pirates, a bevy of giggling maidens and their “very model of a modern Major-General” father along with a dashing pirate apprentice, a fading nursemaid and a bunch of blundering policemen as the key ingredients for the charmingly ridiculous plot of Pirates of Penzance. It is produced and directed by Marilyn Tilley and choreographed by Lisa Reehorst with support of Tamara Grove, Central High School Choral Director, and under the supervision of Wendee Wolf-Schlarf, TCAPS’ Music Department Coordinator.
Ticket prices are: $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Please call the TC Central High School Box Office at 933-3573 for ticket information.
