Beginning now until Tuesday, December 22nd, Eastern Elementary School will hold a food drive for the Jubilee House located on Washington Street in Traverse City. The Jubilee House is a local facility that opens its doors to the homeless from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Jubilee House provides shower and laundry facilities as well as computers for use as needed. The Jubilee House is accepting donations to help stock the food pantry. Items needed include:

Central Grade School staff and families will offer an Angel Tree Program to assist Central Grade School families who may be experiencing a need over the holidays. Beginning Monday, November 30th, an Angel Tree with ornaments will be located next to the Central Grade School main office. Each ornament will have gift information on the back (age of child, size, and type of “wish”) to help anyone with purchasing a gift to coordinate with the wish on the ornament.
