For the fourth straight year, Traverse City Area Public Schools has received an excellent rating on its school bus fleet inspection conducted by the Motor Carrier Division of the Michigan State Police Department. TCAPS earned a 100% passing rating for the 2007-2008 school year with all buses passing inspection. Maintaining the high standards required by the state is a team effort of the drivers conducting pre-trip inspections, and mechanics performing the necessary repairs and maintaining a quality maintenance schedule. Bellaire school buses, which are maintained by TCAPS, also earned a 100% passing rating.
