A one-year contract was ratified by the Traverse City Education Association and approved by the Traverse City Area Public Schools Board of Education on Monday, September 10, 2007.

The financial terms of the contract include a 2.5% on schedule wage increase for 2007-2008 and a $250 increase on the longevity schedule. In addition, the agreement provides for an increase in the amount employees will pay for health insurance. The Traverse City Education Association represents approximately 650 employees.
