Old Mission Peninsula School will host their annual “Pasta on the Peninsula” fundraiser on November 9, 2006 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the newly renovated Old Mission Peninsula School. The evening will include dinner (spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and dessert) prepared and served by the Trubac family, owner of Schelde Restaurants; a 50/50 raffle; and an extensive silent auction representing community donations, classroom creations, and specialty baskets.

Interlochen Community School has received a $500 grant from the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance program to support the school’s Read Naturally Program.  The Interlochen E-Z Mart and Blarney Castle Oil worked with Principal Sander Scott to secure the grant, which is one of 4,000 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil Stations.  The grants were made possible by funding from the Exxon Mobil Corporation.
