Dear Willow Hill Families,

As we all know, state and federal funding for education is declining and budgets are squeezed tighter and tighter each year.  It’s more important than ever to invest in our children’s education and it is up to each of us to do what we can to make a difference.

Selling pizzas and having bake sales are common ways for schools to fundraise, but many families find the traditional methods of fundraising time consuming and burdensome.

There is a more efficient and effective method of fundraising.  For that reason, the Willow Hill Organization (W.H.O.) has launched the Willow Hill Giving Circle.

  • A Giving Circle is a group of people who donate funds to be used for a common goal.  Each Willow Hill family is encouraged to make a tax deductible* donation to the Giving Circle.  The donation can be a one-time donation or a monthly donation.
  • There are approximately 400 children at Willow Hill.  If each family donated $100 per child or $10 per month (September thru June) the W.H.O. could raise $40,000 a year.
  • The money raised thru the Giving Circle will directly support your child’s education. Willow Hill has acquired 40 more laptop computers, bringing our total to 80. The W.H.O. will hire a technical support staff to assist the teachers with the computer lab, purchase books for the literacy library and expand classroom literacy based computer technologies.

  • We understand that every family has their own unique financial situation, especially in this difficult economy. Please donate what is acceptable and meaningful for your family.

  • This year we would like to see our entire school community come together in support of the Willow Hill Giving Circle.

  • There are many ways to give to the Giving Circle:

    • Online at tcaps.net/willowhill
    • Checks made payable to the W.H.O.
    • Gifts/transfer of stock
    • Employer matching programs

We look forward to a wonderful year of learning at Willow Hill.

Sincerely,

The Willow Hill Organization
