9&10 News Story: TCAPS Begins Issuing Netbooks
to High School Students (March 2011)

 
Traverse City Area Public Schools is committed to preparing students with the skills they need to become successful learners and citizens of the 21st Century. To help meet the challenges of preparing our students for an ever changing world, TCAPS continually strives to create a more relevant and rigorous learning experience in our schools while enhancing relationships with our learners and community. For this purpose, TCAPS will equip each high school student with a laptop computer, to provide enhanced online learning opportunities and a more flexible education model.
 
 
TCAPS’ One2World laptop learning offerings fit perfectly with our smaller learning communities to personalize education for each student. TCAPS’ technology tools incorporate the use of web-based learning environments like Moodle, online courses and courses that blend online learning with classroom instruction. The One2World laptop program will provide students with access to learning materials and activities 24/7.
