Todd Zoellick Visits TCAPS Todd Zoellick, Deputy Secretary’s Regional Representative for Region V of United States Department of Education visited and toured TCAPS' schools on Wednesday, September 10th to review TCAPS’ educational programs and school district as this region’s official appointee for the US Department of Education. Zoellick is one of the U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings’ top officials for the region that encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin and is headquartered in Chicago.   Todd Zoellick visited with students and teachers at TC Central High School, TC West Senior High School, TCAPS’ Freshman Academy, and Long Lake Elementary School. Zoellick shared his reflections on what he saw and experienced at TCAPS throughout his visit – describing what he observed in classrooms, what he heard from students, what examples of innovative programs he viewed, and about a TCAPS’ school environments that promote high levels of thinking and conversations around teaching and learning.
