Transition to High School Made Easier  Through Peer Mentoring  Peer mentoring programs for freshman and sophomore students entering TC Central High School and TC West Senior High School are designed to ease the transition for incoming students during their first year in high school by helping students feel safe and comfortable in their new environment and to ensure successful academic achievement. The mentoring programs offer new students the opportunity to build relationships with older students who can share their experiences and advice on settling in to a new learning environment. Student mentors received training prior to meeting with their mentees.
