Volunteers Make a Difference The many parent and community volunteers involved on a daily basis at Old Mission Peninsula School touch the lives and improve the education experience of our children and create a warm, loving environment.

PTO Sponsored Activities and Programs Accomplishments in 2010-2011 by PTO and parent volunteers Achieved 501c3, public charity, tax-exempt status Two main fundraisers that combined brought in the equivalent of $250 per student Introduce Lego League and First Lego League at Old Mission Purchase of ten SMARTboards and sets of handhelds for students for classrooms to be installed this summer Climbing pyramid and new "houses" on playground Maintain pond and trails, including significant dock addition Fund field trips for all students Provide classroom teachers spending money twice each year Facilitate computer lessons in many classrooms Update OMPS history in gymnasium archives Make Junior Achievement available to all students	Environmental Laboratory	Sleeping Bear Trip
