2012 Lip Dub A Huge Success! Watch Here!

Lip Dub A Success! The 2012 EMS Lip Dub was held at 1:00 on Wednesday May 9th. Students worked with their resource groups to particiapte in the event.  A new route, new music and finale were all  planned by the broadcast journalism classes.Click here to see the video.

 

 

8th Grade Wild West Extravaganza is Friday!

Wild West Friday, May 18, 2012 is the date of our Wild West reenactment and Square dance. Eighth grade students will experience the music, culture, and dance of the 1860’s. The entire 8th grade class will spend sixth hour and resource listening and square dancing to Country Western music. We have Joy’s Melodies to spin the tunes of the era and call the dance. Our students will learn square dance moves during the dance, and prior experience is not necessary. Students are encouraged to dress in clothes approximating and imitating the time period.Gentlemen may choose from jeans, corduroy pants, chaps, vests, kerchiefs, suspenders, cowboy hats, derby hats, boots, belts etc. Ladies may dress as cowgirls, or pick from dresses, bonnets, aprons, boots, Victorian wear, pioneer clothing etc.

6/1      Yearbook Pre-sale Distribution during lunches

6/4      Yearbook One-day Sale during all lunches

6/7      End of 4th Quarter & last day of school for students

Eighth Grade Students Can Earn High School Graduation Credits
As part of their regular course work, all TCAPS 8th grade students can earn one high school credit in the following subjects: math, science, and foreign language. Up to three credits can be earned when students pass designated tests in these content areas.  No sign up required.

Free and Reduced Meal Application
The TCAPS free and reduced meal application is now available online! Please visit
www.lunchapp.com and follow the instructions for the Traverse City Area Public Schools. This option allows you to complete the free and reduced application online and submit it electronically, saving time and money. You will still receive an approval letter though the mail, but your application may be approved faster. If you have questions regarding the online free and reduced meal application please contact the TCAPS food service department at  231-933-1910 . Visit the TCAPS Foodservice website to view school lunch menus, nutritional analysis and food allergen listings, and family friendly nutrition information.
