IB MYP Programme Options
Learn more about the IB opportunities* available to 6th and 7th grade students beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.
East Has Talent Show Dates!
The 6th annual East Middle School Talent Show will be here before we know it, so now is the time to put your act together and prepare for auditions. The evening performance for family and friends will be Wednesday, March 12 at 7:00 pm in the cafetorium. A free will donation will be collected at the door; proceeds will benefit our Noon Activities Program.
The all school performance will be held in the gym on the half day, Thursday, March 13 from 9:40 - 10:55. Parents and family members that are unable to attend the Wednesday night show are welcome to come to the school performance on Thursday; please check in at the main office prior to going to the gym.
EMS Talent Show Audition Dates - all auditions are held in Mrs. Zebell's choir room, 516, during resource. Sign up sheets for auditions will be in the cafeteria the week of Feb. 3-7; students MUST sign up to audition and may not just drop in during audition time.
**Acts containing MULTIPLE EMS students are encouraged and preferred, this allows for maximum student involvement.
- Tues., Feb. 11 - Instrumental auditions
- Thur, Feb.13 - dance auditions (bring proper clothing, shoes, & music)
- Tues., Feb. 18 - vocal auditions (bring an instrumental version of the song you're singing or sing acappella)
- Thurs., Feb. 20 - all other acts: magic, juggle, ventriloquist, comedic stand up, skit, dramatic poetry reading, act out a scene from a well known show or film, any act you feel is entertaining
- Tues., Feb. 25 - call backs - Ms. Taglauer will notify you if your re-audition is requested on this date
- Thurs., Feb.27 - make up date in the event of a snow day

Free and Reduced Meal Application
The TCAPS free and reduced meal application is now available online! Please visit www.lunchapp.com and follow the instructions for the Traverse City Area Public Schools. This option allows you to complete the free and reduced application online and submit it electronically, saving time and money. You will still receive an approval letter though the mail, but your application may be approved faster. If you have questions regarding the online free and reduced meal application please contact the TCAPS food service department at 231-933-1910.
