VASA Ski Club - Jr. Ski Program  

We are excited to announce that the VASA Ski Club is once again hosting the after school Junior Ski Program at Timber Ridge Resort.  The VASA Ski Club has been hosting this after school program for over 20 years to middle school students in our community.  This program meets on Tuesday and Thursday beginning January 8, 2015 - February 26, 2015 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.   

The cost for the program is $100.00 per student skier.  The fee includes ALL of the following:  

 

  • Bussing from students school to Timber Ridge immediately following the end of the school day (Parents are responsible for pick up)
  • Timber Ridge Season Trail Pass
  • Coaching by experienced/trained coaching team
  • Pizza Party on Thursday, Feb. 26th to celebrate all of the seasons accomplishments!

LEAP Information:

Express Yourself! Acting Academy starts Monday, Nov. 10!

Drama Develops Kids! Enthusiastic students who learn to speak out clearly and relate confidently with others will have an inside track to lifetime success. Lessons are carefully planned so that students can enroll at any time and will never repeat a lesson. Students participate in a wide range of creative activities including speech, dramatic movement, improvisation, snippets and scene starters. In a fun-filled atmosphere, our classes aim to give young people ongoing confidence, self-esteem and skill in verbal communication.

Classes are held one day per week for one hour, starting 10 minutes after school concludes for the day. Sessions run 6 weeks in length. Drama Kids is a year long program and sessions can be taken individually or continuously. Students who enroll in multiple terms will experience new activities and challenges each term.

Cost is $90 / 6 week term

When: Mondays from 2:47 PM - 3:47 PM in the auditorium

Pitching Clinics start November 23rd

Long-time baseball coach Dave Kenny will be offering pitching clinics again this year on Sundays this Fall and Winter at West Middle School. Clinics will be small group instruction (no more than 3 athletes at a time) and each pitcher must supply their own catcher (this can be a sibling, parent, etc.)

Session Information:

  • Ages 8-12:  12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Ages 13 and up:  3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Sessions run 30-45 minutes in length
  • Sessions will not exceed a 4 to 1 player to coach ratio
  • Fall/Winter Sessions: 11/23, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 1/4, 1/11, 1/25
  • Winter/Spring Sessions: 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22 

Registration:

  • $20 per session
  • Register for an individual date or for multiple dates 
    (no more than 1 time slot per week, please)
  • Payment for each session must be made prior to the session date.
  • Reduced rates are not available for this program.

Washington DC Trip Information & Sign UP Available For All 8th Grade Students

There are 12 spots available for the 8th Grade Washington DC triip.  If you would like to know the details of the trip or would like to register, go to Worldstrides.org for sign-up instructions. The trip ID# you will need is 107433.  If you would prefer to call Customer Service, the number is: 1.800.468.5899.  If you have further questions, you can email the Program Leader, Debbie Pascoe at pascoede@tcaps.net.  There are information packets available in the 7/8 grade office and the Main Office.
