The 2012 EMS Lip Dub was held at 1:00 on Wednesday May 9th. Students worked with their resource groups to particiapte in the event. A new route, new music and finale were all planned by the broadcast journalism classes.Click here to see the video.
8th Grade Wild West Extravaganza is Friday!
Friday, May 18, 2012 is the date of our Wild West reenactment and Square dance. Eighth grade students will experience the music, culture, and dance of the 1860’s. The entire 8th grade class will spend sixth hour and resource listening and square dancing to Country Western music. We have Joy’s Melodies to spin the tunes of the era and call the dance. Our students will learn square dance moves during the dance, and prior experience is not necessary. Students are encouraged to dress in clothes approximating and imitating the time period.Gentlemen may choose from jeans, corduroy pants, chaps, vests, kerchiefs, suspenders, cowboy hats, derby hats, boots, belts etc. Ladies may dress as cowgirls, or pick from dresses, bonnets, aprons, boots, Victorian wear, pioneer clothing etc.
